My 70th birthday party

« on: June 15, 2011, 01:08:34 PM »

This is one of the drinks we had at our Women's Bible study Monday night. Soooo good.
I am a tea drinker and love this one. Hot or cold

Almond Tea
12 oz frozen lemonade, thawed
2 cups sugar
6 T instant tea, unsweetened
1 T vanilla
1 T almond extract
Combine thawed lemonade, sugar, unsweetened tea, vanilla and almond extract and enough water to make a gallon.

It really is good. I'd have to make it with decaf cause I can't leave it alone.

Hey, this does sound interesting. My kids like to have cool drinks like this in the summer, but so many of them have way too much sugar. This one looks like you can tinker with it. Going to mark this one down to try. Thanks. smile

I did try it. I really enjoyed it, it is a very different flavour to drink with the almond.  My cousin however did not like it.  She is not a good judge though she mostly just likes things she makes herself.
