My 70th birthday party

This is the cake I'm making for the Women's Bible study Monday night.

Lemon Poppy Seed Pound Cake

1 box lemon cake mix (9 X 13 size)
1 small box lemon or vanilla pudding mix
1 C water
1/2 C oil
1 T lemon flavoring or vanilla
4 eggs
4 T poppy seeds

Mix dry ingredients. Add water, oil, flavoring. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well. Bake in a bundt cake pan at 350* preheated oven for 45 mins or until done. Cool for 15 minutes before removing from pan.
When cool, make a powdered sugar and lemon juice glaze and pour over cake.

YUM!  That is one my favorites and I haven't made it for a long time--I'm thinking cake baking might be in my very near future  smile

The only bad thing about this cake is  -- I paid $6.49 for a jar of poppy seeds.  A little jar.

I just tasted the cake and it is soooo good. I did add a pkg of lemon jello and it made it really lemony.
