Ok, I must admit, I haven't tried this, but it sounds DEE-LICIOUS!!! A friend of mine posted about making it with her mom on Facebook. Jen's grandmother was a cafeteria lady at my elementary school and my parents belonged to a group she belonged to. Grandma Helen made THE BEST homemade bread! Jen's mom is a great cook, so I imagine this is a great recipe and I'll have to try it soon.

French Fried Onion Chicken

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp. flour
2 cups French's French Fried Onion Rings, crushed

Combine flour and onion rings. Dip chicken in egg, then in onion ring mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Sounds yummy. Something for the winter when we don't mind turning on the oven.

I wondered how it might be if you replaced the flour with 2 Tbsp. of parmesan cheese (like you sprinkle on spaghetti).

I've made this, but without the flour.  Just egg and crushed fried onions.
It really IS delicious!

Adding the parm cheese sounds good too.  I've done this same recipe with just the parm cheese and egg.  I think that was a Rachael Ray recipe.  It was yumm-o!   :p
