I can't remember which thread, but it seems like I had gotten that warning message that someone posted a response while I was entering mine. I posted anyway, but it disappeared. i think it's only happened to me two or three times.

That is very strange... I know what you're talking about, with the warning. It's never happened to me, but two or three times is too much. I'll have to check into it and see what's going on. That's gotta be frustrating.
ETA - OK, I split this up in case others had any examples to chime in on. Going to see if I can get this corrected.

I have had mine disappear also. Sometimes they end up being posted and sometimes they are gone for good.

Does this seem to happen when you are posting and there is a new reply while you were composing?

I had this happen once, so now I just do a quick copy of the post before sending, if the message doesn't show up, I just open a new reply and paste it and resend it.

I have had this happen to me and of course I assumed I had done something wrong in sending or posting. I am still new at this. Who knows?

So far, I've only noticed similar things when I've spent a long time in writing my response (got interrupted, just long on thinking, and such). Sometimes the "someone else has posted" message comes. Other times, my login has expired. (I prefer to set the login time short to keep myself honest about time.) So far, I don't think I've completely lost a post. I've been able to go back a few screens using the drop-down back list instead of backing up one page at a time and retrieve the info.
