1 cup warm mashed sweet potatoes
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
dash of salt
up to 1/4 cup milk (haven't used that lately - potatoes have been moist enough)

Mix warm potatoes and butter.  Add sugar; mix well.  Add flour, salt and baking powder.  If mixture is too dry add milk.

Bake at 400 for 10 to 12 minutes.

Yield:  1 dozen 2 1/2" biscuits

That's the recipe as I got it from my mom.  Seems like it takes them longer to bake in my oven.  They don't rise much and they are very moist.
